I’m a life and leadership coach and the founder of Salt & Skill Coaching.
I’ve spent much of my life in positions of responsibility—leading teams, building programs, and navigating complex decisions in both my career and personal life.
From serving as a commissioned officer in the Army to leading in nonprofit and workforce development spaces, my work has always involved helping people move forward in meaningful ways.
At the same time, I’ve been navigating life as a wife and mother of four—learning firsthand what it means to balance ambition, responsibility, and real life.
They weren’t lacking ambition.
They weren’t lacking discipline.
And they certainly weren’t lacking ability.
What they were lacking was space to think clearly about their lives.
Many women are taught to keep performing—meeting expectations, carrying responsibility, and pushing through the next challenge—without ever pausing to ask whether the direction they’re moving in is actually aligned.
That’s where Salt & Skill began.
The name reflects the two things I believe every woman deserves when navigating important decisions:
Salt — wisdom, discernment, and the ability to see a situation clearly.
Skill — the competence, strategy, and practical tools needed to move forward effectively.
One without the other often leads to frustration.
Wisdom without action can keep you stuck.
Action without wisdom can lead to burnout.
But when both come together, something powerful happens.
You stop chasing someone else’s version of success and start building a life and leadership path that actually fits who you are and the season you’re in.
That’s the work we do at Salt & Skill.
Lived leadership experience: senior roles, real stakes, real responsibility
Mindset + strategy: a blend of belief work and practical planning
Season-sensitive coaching: support that respects marriage, kids, capacity, and real life
Career leverage tools: skills mapping, confidence building, decision-making structure
A safe space for high-achieving women, especially women of color, to rise without shrinking or over performing
